Have you ever wondered how people get recognition of their online fundraising pages?
Whether you’re completing a charity skydive or a non-charity skydive, you may be thinking about fundraising and the best ways to let people know.
A survey which took place showed that the most popular platforms to use are Facebook (69%), Instagram (49%), WhatsApp (40%), TikTok came in at 28% but rose to 47% for those raising over £3000, and X (27%).
However, we know that to be successful, you need to be regularly updating your friends and family by posting your fundraising page and letting them know how much you have raised so far. The study showed that 64% of participants posted two to three times a week or more on social media to gain recognition of their page. More than one in ten posts at least every day or sometimes even more than that!
During the same study, people were asked why they don’t or wouldn’t donate, which showed that people forget or didn’t have time to do it when asked. This could show that by constantly sharing your fundraising page with your friends and family, it will remind them to donate or allow them to do it when they have time.
