The airfield will provide you with a jumpsuit on the day. You just need to wear comfortable clothing underneath and suitable tie up shoes (trainers or something similar would be ideal). We recommend layering up on a colder day and wear ski gloves (optional).

Q: Why is there a deposit?

A small deposit is required to secure your booking. This shows your commitment to fundraising and completing the skydive if you are jumping for charity. You can reimburse yourself back for the deposit through your offline fundraising. If you’re paying your own costs, then the deposit will come off the total cost of the skydive as listed on our Prices & Locations page under “Pay Your Own Costs”.

Q: What is a tandem skydive like?

A Tandem skydive lets you experience free fall without the need for lots of training. After a brief 20 minute training session you will be ready to skydive. You will be kitted up and then head to the aircraft. Once you have boarded the aircraft it will only take around 15-20 minutes to reach skydiving altitude. You will free fall from at least 10,000 feet with the parachute being opened at 5,000 feet after you have experienced around 1 minute of free fall. You then get to enjoy the last mile under canopy with your instructor, taking in the spectacular views before a soft landing back at the airfield. This is the perfect experience for your first-time jump as you are attached to an instructor who does all of the work for you, leaving you free to the view!

Q: Which date should i book my skydive for?

Most airfields in the UK jump all year round and many offer midweek dates as well as weekends so you will be sure to find a date that suits you. You can check out the Prices and Locations page to see what days the airfield near you operates on. We usually recommend that you book a couple of months in advance to get the date that you want but many airfields can accommodate last minute bookings too so if you are keen to get skydiving as soon as possible then make sure you book now at a UK airfield near you.

Q: Can i get my tandem skydive recorded?

Absolutely! All of our airfields in the UK offer the option to have your tandem skydive recorded so you can capture the experience forever. Each airfield offer different filming and photography packages and costs vary across the different airfields so please check out our Prices and Locations page to find an airfield near you and see what packages they offer and what the cost will be. For most airfields you can book and pay for filming on the day but a few do require you to pre-book if you want your jump to be recorded. We will let you know once you are booked up if your airfield requires you to pre-book for recording.

Q: How much will a skydive cost?

The cost of your skydive will depend on which airfield in the UK that you choose to jump from. Check our Prices and Locations page to find the airfield that is near you and what the jump costs will be. If you are looking to skydive for charity then you will usually need to raise a minimum amount between £395 and £450 to jump for free – check the airfield near you on the Prices and Locations page to see how much you would need to raise for your chosen charity when you jump.

Q: Can I wear glasses or contact lenses?

You can wear both of these. The airfields will have a range of goggles made to fit over glasses.

Q: How long does the process take to complete the jump?

We will give you an arrival time once you are confirmed with the airfield – this is when you will check in and receive your training for the jump. The jump time would depend on the weather and how many other people are booked in that day. There is a small chance you could wait all day until you jump. The airfields do operate a first come first served basis though – so the earlier you arrive the earlier you will jump!
